Celebrity Bainisteoir Update

posted 1 Nov 2011 13:55 by secretary killeshin laois

Just to give people an update in whats happening and going to be happening with Celebrity Bainisteoir throughout the week :

  • The team bus will leave from the school at 12.30pm on Friday. It would be great if people could come out and give the lads a big send off. Bring your flags and colours down to wave off the lads. It would also be fantastic if people going to the match could follow the team bus to Bewleys when they leave at 12.30pm. Remember the event will be filmed and it would look great if it showed all the cars following the bus in convoy with their flags hanging from the windows.
  • The first bus is full for the day return, so we have organised another minibus for any other people that want to go. Tickets cost €12 per adult and €7.50 for Under 16s. Contact Paul on 086 8600462 to book your place.
  • I was speaking to Bewleys today and all 470 rooms in the hotel have just sold out. A booking can only be made if there has been a cancellation. Their number is 01 8711000 if you wish to make an enquiry.
  • Jimmy Barcoe's overnight return buses are fully booked and there are no more seats available on them.
  • Despite the rumours Killeshin supporters do not need to have tickets to gain entry to the match. As far as we know there will be sectioned off area for Killeshin supporters to enjoy the match.
  • There will be no free finger food in Bewleys after the match. Bar food will be served until 11pm and then the hotel will serve chicken curry and rice for anyone who missed out.
  • There will be shuttle buses running between Bewleys Hotel and Parnell Park on Friday evening. This service will be provided by the hotel and it will cost €5 return. Remember parking is hard to find at Parnell Park, so it makes sense to park at the hotel and get the bus over.
  • Car parking is also charged at the hotel. It normally costs €8 per night but the hotel will only charge Killeshin supporters €5 for an overnight stay, but just be vigilant that you don't get charged more than that.
  • Gates open in Parnell Park at 6pm and the match kicks off at 7.30pm.
  • It would be great if everyone could wear as much green and white as possible and bring plenty of flags and signs along for the big night. Remember they will be filming fans on the way in, so the more colour the better.
  • There will be only a DJ back in the hotel, so if anyone feels like bringing along an instrument, then you are more than welcome to do so. Hopefully we will all be in the mood for music and craic after the match.
  • Most of all we hope that everyone enjoys themselves and has a great night.
